Welcome to 2 Pots

A private, in-home cookery

ABOUT

Years ago, I sat in a “grotto” style restaurant in northern Italy where a woman and a boy were the only staff. The patrons sat family style at three long tables. She turned from the stove and asked: “Beef or chicken?”

The beef was Boeuf Bourguignon (I swear she got the recipe from my mother). The other pot held Chicken Cacciatore. Both were wonderful.

I thought: “How perfectly simple was that for a restaurant?”

While we focus on the 2 pot concept, we are not quite as limited. The name “2 pots, a pan, a grill, and dessert” just didn’t cut it.

2 Pots offers in-home cooked daily dinners, as well as one-time events. One person, on up to a crowd can be served.  We arrive, put it all together, cook, and serve. Any special equipment, if required, can be brought on site.

2 Pots is based in Vinalhaven, Maine for 2024.

For all events, we want to start with a conversation to ensure your needs are met and wonderful meals are the result: What do you love?; Hate?; When do you like to sit down for dinner?; etc... Of course, dietary restrictions are in the dialogue.
